In Spain A man was sentenced to 384,912 years in jail for a crime of not delivering the mail,
I know it sounds stupid but yes this is a fact,read further for actually knowing it.

So now the Postal carriers please beware! Not delivering your mail can get you into the prison , especially in Spain. A postal carrier named Gabriel March Grandos, 22, of Palma de Mallorca, Spain got sentenced to 384,912 years in prison for neglecting to deliver close to 43-44 THOUSAND letters.

This is the longest recorded prison sentence EVER in recorded history. He’s been behind bars since 1972 and still wears his striped jumpsuit today.
